A place to be you
Our Teen Xscape area is located on the library’s first floor and is a teens-only space to read, relax, use the library’s wi-fi, work on homework and–most importantly–connect with others.
Here’s what you’ll find in the space:
Comfortable and fun places
to read, work and lounge
Need a welcoming space to do homework, hang out with friends, or just read? Relax in our fun and cozy bungee chairs, curl up on our colorful rug, or grab a throw cushion! Or use our regular tables within the space for uninterrupted homework time.
Our whiteboard fills you in on all the events happening this week.
Our collection includes the newest titles in teen fiction and non-fiction, and you’ll find them all grouped on one shelf at the front of the space. Have a book you’d like us to add? Email Joyce at email@example.com with the title.
In addition, browse our extensive collection of teen books grouped by genre, including Mystery, Science Fiction, and Series.
Graphic Novels and Manga
Are you a Marvel or My Hero Academia fan? Check out our shelves of titles of your favorite fandoms as well as the latest manga and standalone titles!
Many recent games for Xbox One and PS4 can be found in this area and checked out with a library card. Visit our Events page on this website regularly for dates of our Minecraft and Fortnite tournaments as well as other gaming events.
Games and Activities
Bored and need something to do? Browse our cart of board games and art supplies to play or create solo or with friends. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Stop up and talk to teen librarian Joyce on the 3rd floor to see what other games or supplies are available.
Running low on juice? Plug into our hub to recharge your phones and other devices.
Chill Out Basket
Feeling a little stressed and could use some comforting items to help you relax? Stop on the 3rd floor and check out our chill out basket of sensory items to help you unwind. Thank you to the 1889 Foundation and PRAA for providing these resources.
